A big competition is going to happen between Barcelona and Girona. Girona is only two points behind Barcelona. And both of them have a match against each other. They are going to fight for the second position. I believe for both of the teams it actually means something to be the runner-up of the La Liga competition. For Barcelona, it means having some pride in finishing in the second position. For Girona, I believe finishing on the first three positions is already a big improvement. But finishing in the second position and finishing above Barcelona is something of an achievement in itself. But they will also have to win the other matches that are left for them. I don’t know if Girona will be able to be so consistent at this stage.
Why do you think Girona will have the balls to dethrone Barcelona from where they are sited right now? Not like they have been playing with good outcome consistently, they have been playing irregular matches, they lose one and win this next one but Barcelona has been on winning streak except for their last two matches which is the Champions League they got kicked out from and El classico and we can't deny how difficult that has is always between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
If I'm Girona, I will be focus on staying above Atletico Madrid until the end of the season to have a feature in the next Champions League and the coach should get new players because next season is going to be a lot of extra work because they can't go far with the Champions League the way they are playing right now.
