I just found out that last week Stuttgart lost against Werder Bremen and actually it wasn't a crushing defeat but it was enough to make Stuttgart fail to continue the existing positive trend. Stuttgart also failed to widen the points gap from Leipzig more and they were certainly quite annoyed with the defeat. I think there are times when teams experience setbacks and Stuttgart felt it too.
Stuttgart lost an away game against Werder Bremen, many gamblers will be disappointed with the outcome of the game because they thought Stuttgart was the favorite team to win. I almost bet money on them since their performance was quite good from the beginning of the season. After Stuttgart conceded a goal in the first half, I thought they would make a comeback in the second half and win the game, but the favor wasn't on their side. Stuttgart is currently ahead of Leipzig with 4 points since they lost points to Werder Bremen.
However, unfortunately, this week, Stuttgart are still in an unfavorable situation because they will face the only team that is unbeaten and also the winner of the Bundesliga season, namely Leverkusen. I think seeing the mentality of the Leverkusen players who are reluctant to accept defeat means that Stuttgart could lose again and Xabi Alonso certainly still wants to continue his unbeaten record. It would be something special again if Leverkusen could win and it would be a bad thing if Stuttgart lost again.
I don't think Stuttgart will have weak opponent out of the rest of their games if Stuttgart plays against Leverkusen this week, they will play against Bayern Munich next coming week, and I believe is not going to be an easy game for them. Stuttgart hasn't been lucky against Leverkusen this season, they drew their first Bundesliga game and got eliminated by Leverkusen in the DFB Pokal competition. Leverkusen will host the second meeting this weekend, I believe that if Leverkusen does not win the game, they will not going to lose because they will continue with their unbeaten record.
