I just found out that last week Stuttgart lost against Werder Bremen and actually it wasn't a crushing defeat but it was enough to make Stuttgart fail to continue the existing positive trend. Stuttgart also failed to widen the points gap from Leipzig more and they were certainly quite annoyed with the defeat. I think there are times when teams experience setbacks and Stuttgart felt it too.
However, unfortunately, this week, Stuttgart are still in an unfavorable situation because they will face the only team that is unbeaten and also the winner of the Bundesliga season, namely Leverkusen. I think seeing the mentality of the Leverkusen players who are reluctant to accept defeat means that Stuttgart could lose again and Xabi Alonso certainly still wants to continue his unbeaten record. It would be something special again if Leverkusen could win and it would be a bad thing if Stuttgart lost again.
Stuttgart started very well this season and I thought they would continue but at some point they were not as strong as they were but that not withstanding, they made some impact in the Bundesliga this season. Werder Bremen have been an old club in the German bundesliga though they have been struggling for some season now but yet they are more like an average team in the Bundesliga so Bremen winning Stuttgart shouldn't sound as a surprise, moreover Stuttgart have even lost to more lesser teams this season not to talk more of Bremen.
Bayern Leverkusen is really set to catch up some good history this season so ending the season unbeaten coupled with the fact that they are the champions of the Bundesliga is an achievement Xabi Alonso will be looking forward to and since they have gone this far and is remaining just few matches before the season ends, so bad Stuttgart will suffer loss to Bayern Leverkusen but however, their performance this season is commendable.
