The misconception begins when you think of gambling as nothing but a way for you to earn quick cash.

It's been said countless times in this forum how earning while you're gambling's just short of impossible, with the only ones who are able to earn out of this ordeal finding themselves losing all the shit they gained in a few years' time. So with that being said, what else is there to do but enjoy gambling and take it for what it really is, a game?

Most people who say that they gamble for entertainment do not necessarily mean that they enjoy losing their money, matter of fact a lot of them think the same way as people who gamble for profit. But the key difference is how they approach losses. Where gamblers for profit fumble and lose their shit when things don't go their way, gamblers for entertainment shrugs it off and is packed with discipline and self-control, allowing them to make more informed decisions that wouldn't cost them their whole bankroll.
