Money in a way is an indicator of success, at least it is proof that people find what you are doing as valuable so they are willing to pay for it.

There might be other things that are extremely interesting, but maybe they are not valued by society. That's possible.

In the end as usual a balance is probably the best way of dealing with this.

It is interrelated in my opinion, those who are crazy because of gambling are indeed the goal is victory or even they think they can succeed by just gambling so they gamble inappropriately because it is the wrong thinking that leads them to big losses. I think those who are crazy about gambling maybe it's because they want to succeed financially but don't want to put in the effort so they look for shortcuts by gambling, even though gambling is not entirely going to make them successful, let alone for success, even small wins are difficult to get let alone with big wins that can make them rich in money.

If we really like gambling, we should be able to have a balance with what we want and what we have, like we like gambling and with the money we have, we should be able to balance our finances with our fondness for gambling, gambling with the money we can afford by not forcing ourselves to continue gambling, even though the reason for gambling is just for fun but obviously not gambling excessively like forcing ourselves.
