Gambling addicts will find it difficult to change their habits and way of thinking because they will not think about other things apart from gambling. But if they realize that there is something wrong with them and start looking for it, they will find that they have a gambling addiction and need to cure their gambling addiction.
But everything will come back to the gambling addicts because not many can look inside themselves to find or introspect what they have done. Most of the gambling addicts will get deeper into gambling and will not look at anything else because it is not important to them.
People who cannot control themselves when gambling have the potential to experience gambling addiction. That is why we must avoid gambling excessively.
Emotionally unstable gambling addict will always find an excuse to gamble, same goes for people who emotionally eat, or emotionally even self-harm. There are people who just do not have the right psychological material sometimes, and they do need help from a professional to get better. If those people ended up getting into gambling then they would end up with a terrible result and will end up keep losing money all the time.

I am not saying that we can't really consider those people getting better all by themselves and no matter how much money they lose, they are going to end up with more and more trouble in the end and will try to gamble more. I personally believe that we are going to end up with a lot more issues in the end and we can't really make it change, they need help.

It is possible that they are not aware of the need for help from professionals, who can help them overcome their problems and make positive progress in life. Continuing this destructive gambling behavior will have dire consequences, constant loss of money for nothing and the threat of an ever-increasing vicious cycle of addiction.

In my opinion, providing support for these individuals to seek professional help is critical. Through such help, they can discover the root cause of their problems, gain skills in managing emotions and stress that work for them, and ultimately bring about positive change in their lives. While it may seem reasonable for someone to think that they can overcome these problems alone without seeking external support, the reality is that professional support can be crucial in significantly changing the course of their recovery.

If we turn a blind eye to their pleas for help, we may end up adding to their misery... An action that only increases the chances of them losing more but getting nothing in return for those losses.
