I am sure that most parents are doing the best that they can already, it is just that now in many countries around the world both parents have to work in order to keep themselves afloat, and this is causing that many kids are growing without a strong parental figure that can guide them, so many of those kids are now looking the answers to their questions online, and as we know they can find all kind of mistaken information there that could warp the view they may have about gambling and they may try it at such an early age.
Yes, I'm sure of that too. But even so, parents cannot just hand it over to their children without any guidance from their parents. Nowadays, their children are exposed to more information, which means parents need to know what their children want to ask. Their children can search for the answers online, but if parents can provide more age-appropriate knowledge, it will help their children understand. Parents now have to learn more so they can understand their children's development well and educate them well.
Some children are lucky enough to have both parents around them, and some of them are so smart that they can cope with the ever-rising trend in society and carry their children along. But for the children who don't have such parents around them or who don't even have any at all, most of the time they do their own learning by themselves, and some do it very well.

Sometimes, even when the parent is trying to educate them, they still find learning online and outside very helpful. Compared to the ones they get from home, especially the ones that keep friends a lot, the parent can just give them a basis' knowledge of the things they want them to know, but they can't teach them up to the extent that they will be satisfied.
Isn't it amazing how resilient and adaptable kids can be in difficult situations? Some just figure things out. Self-learning is powerful. But when they're alone, how can they separate good information from garbage? Gambling, where dangers can ruin their future, is especially dangerous. I support kids' independence, but there's a balance. It's on us  (parents, teachers, whoever) to be a backstop, a guide. Instead of clipping their wings, we want them to fly safely.  Nobody wants a smart youngster to get stuck. Celebrate kids who push themselves to study, but also give them the tools to stay smart, learn dangers, and make daring choices work
