Polkadot has greater price growth opportunities, but has its own problems in an ecosystem where there is very little liquidity. on the one hand Matic has less growth potential, but this ecosystem has passed many tests and will remain in the market. Apart from that, transaction fees on the blockchain matic  are very cheap.
