I wanted to ask if Electrum allows to generating p2tr addresses. (i don't mind using the console).
Not until descriptors is implemented.
The good news is some of the requirements to implement TapRoot are already in the master branch of Electrum's GitHub repo.
But it doesn't have a specified version in their "
Milestones" (
ToDo List) so it may not be released in v4.5.5.

The closest thing that you can do now is: you can create a watching-only "
imported" Electrum wallet by importing TapRoot addresses from other wallets.
