Bayer Leverkusen have done it again. They scored the equaliser in the 96th minute of the game (additional time was only 5 mins but hey).
As much as they again confirmed their undefeatable aura, I think their performance was not that great and they should seriously consider themselves lucky for earning that 1 point.
The way they lost those first 2 goals was appalling and not what you would expect from the new Champions.
I'm not sure if they get overly relaxed after securing the championship, but they need to put themselves back together and stay focused ahead of the Roma match on Thu.
I agree that their performance has shown a decline, but I think this is a very natural thing because they have confirmed themselves as Bundesliga champions this season. So they don't have any pressure to play as usual, because the match results don't affect them in the slightest. It's just that if they don't lose then they will extend their unbeaten record, and in my opinion that is Leverkusen's only motivation in their remaining matches in the Bundesliga.
It's also fair to say that they got lucky when they were able to score a goal in the final minutes of the match, so that prevented them from losing. But actually they usually do that during this season, they can always catch up so they don't lose and they can even turn things around in several matches. This is the most extraordinary thing from Leverkusen this season and honestly we can't deny that.
