Wish I had an answer to that, but I'm not a staff member and have no clue what goes on behind the scenes. You'd think it'd be a simple fix like the one you described, but I suspect Theymos has his reasons for not acknowledging reporters publicly. I couldn't even hazard a guess what those reasons are, though.
The only reason that I have already mentioned several times is the one that stems from the fact that some members were unhappy that such data were published publicly. Even if this is the reason, there is always a solution in the way of marking them with
"x" or
"anonymous" instead of their name - of course such a way of posting would require the admin to send a PM to everyone on that list so that it could be partially
"censored" if it is really a problem for someone.
