Regardless of whatever strategy the coach uses, the most important thing is the final result, as you said, there is nothing embarrassing about defensive strategy.

However, destroying Leverkusen is not an easy thing because many teams have tried it throughout this season and none have succeeded.
Leverkusen is a strong team, we have to admit that and Roma is actually also a strong team when managed by De Rossi but in their last few matches in the domestic league we can see that their performance is a little bad so this is a benchmark for the first leg match they played Leverkusen.

I still favor Leverkusen, I think that's realistic because in terms of overall strength we can see from the start of the season that Leverkusen is much stronger and more consistent.
I agree that whatever strategy you use, Leverkusen is a team that will not be beaten that badly. I feel like the yare going to be doing quite well here as well, too many people are talking about the possibilities and I understand that because we have seen stuff that we thought wasn't possible, even the most recent Atalanta and Liverpool game is a great example of that, so people are saying what if Leverkusen loses like that as well? We thought Liverpool wouldn't, so why would it be different for Leverkusen, there is a possibility. But I believe that Liverpool isn't as good as Leverkusen when it comes to taking it seriously, I am not talking about talent here, I am just saying Leverkusen takes this more seriously than Liverpool ever did.

That is just the fact you cannot compare when it comes to seriousness between Liverpool and Bayer leverkusen, because we all know that Bayer leverkusen have really been serious this season. because the record that they have so far is a good one: not losing a single game unless a draw or a win, which is like a threat to AS Roma, but as many are saying, AS Roma will bring a strategy that will help them win, which they might call a 50/50 strategy because it might favor them and it might not. But to be sincere, if care is not taken, the game might end in a draw or a win for Bayer Leverkusen, which will not be favorable for them because their aim to get a trophy this season will be tarnished, which if they tried more, they might achieve next year.
when it comes to Bayern Leverkusen, it's never about the individual players being too exceptional but it's more of thier fighting mentality that makes them fight till the end of the whistle. You can't even compare such kind of mentality to what's common with Liverpool even though they have great players like moh Salah and an incredible defender like van dijk. There is certainly going to coke a time when they will probably loose in a match but even when it happens, it doesn't change the fact that they have built a great reputation and name that can't be denied.
Bayer Leverkusen has something that Liverpool lacked this season: team discipline. Even if the whole team is defeated, they do not give up on the game and fight like gladiators to avoid defeat. I feel like I'm in the arena while watching their match. Bayer Leverkusen matches feel amazing. This situation will undoubtedly continue in the Rome match they will play today. If Roma take the lead, they should be very careful because they are facing the strongest undefeated team of 2024.
