Haaland may not have been more successful this season than last, but he is a good center forward so far. Manchester City failed to defend its Champions League title this season and has paved the way for Real Madrid to try their luck in the semifinals. It is difficult for any team to maintain that in two consecutive seasons, let alone repeat the same success as Manchester City in two different seasons.
Haaland has scored 25 goals in the Premier League this season and he has done so in 28 appearances. This season there has been a decline in Haaland's goal statistics, but he is still the top player in the Premier League so far. Alexander Isak and Cole Palmer are second and third in the hunt for top scorers, but each of the three still has the opportunity to increase their number of goals until the season ends. Manchester City is only struggling to defend the Premier League title and also the FA Cup title, those are the two titles they are most likely to get after failing in the Champions League.
