Bitcoin is the OG crypto - it got in the game way early.  That gave it mad name recognition compared to the new coins tryna catch up.  Bitcoin also ain't controlled by any suits or governments, which folks who want free money sans the Man dig.  It's people-powered, peer-to-peer! Sure theres flashy new players tryna steal hype but Bitcoin made the concept mainstream and  respect the groundwork that dusty old coin laid down.  Where would crypto be without gramps Bitcoin paving the way? People messed with decentralized digital money because Bitcoin proved it could work.  I think these are the main reasons that make Bitcoin still popular.
