Why did the LuxChain Team, Formerly Known as MetaChain, Decide to Take Over PowBlocks?

The LuxChain team, previously known as the MetaChain team, decided to take over PowBlocks after learning about internal issues within the PowBlocks team. Originally, MetaChain was influenced by PowBlocks, particularly attracted to their innovative 5% block reward cut. Initially, we planned to launch a similar blockchain called PowChain with the ticker XPC, echoing PowBlocks' ticker XPB. However, as MetaChain developed, we forged a close connection with a core PowBlocks developer known as "Tomato Dev." Through discussions with him, we learned that the rest of the PowBlocks team was planning to abandon the project.

Given this insight, we saw an opportunity to merge PowBlocks with MetaChain, leading to the creation of LuxChain and offering a 1:1 swap to unify both communities. This merger not only preserved the community and value of PowBlocks but also strengthened the newly formed LuxChain by combining resources and visions from both projects. Without this intervention, PowBlocks likely would have dissolved, rendering XPB valueless. This strategic move was aimed at safeguarding the interests of both communities and ensuring the continuity of the blockchain innovation initially spurred by PowBlocks.
