Bitcoin has proven beyond every reasonable dout to be the best and has stand out of the crowd of so many coins, it has a solid foundation, it's performance determines the performance of other coins, it has shown a tremendous increments in it's value and widespread adoption, Bitcoin is a king and shouldn't be compared with any other coins and it is still profitable if an investor could buy up to a reasonable amount while holding for a longer period of time 4 to 10 years or more in other to have a compounded value of their investment.
