but I still want to say that even though I'm learning the hard way, it has given me a lot more confidence that I can succeed on my own with perseverance and hard work.
We are came from starters and I understand your friend don't want to spoonfeed you so that you can learn on your own. Learning that way is quite hard if you don't know where to start but your friend has given you the path and direction of where to start. And as you initiate, that really helped your way out of it and learned the process. Good job if you've gained your confidence because that's what you have lacked of from the beginning when your friend has directed you what to do.
