As I have previously thought, Bayern Munich will still retain Tuchel for next season and the reason is of course because of the rejection of several coaching candidates. Bayern Munich has no other choice but to rely on Tuchel and at least there are still several players such as Neuer, Muller, Goretzka and Musiala who want him to stay.
Bayern Munich better think about other options later when there is an open door from another coach because I don't think Tuchel has failed too much considering that he succeeded in bringing Bayern Munich to the semi-finals of the Champions League and it is worth trying again even though they have to lose the title in the main competition.
Referring to several sources that I read, it seems that Bayern are considering the decision to retain Thomas Tuchel. according to TheBavarian and also Fabrizio Romano, discussions between Tuchel and Bayern's agents reportedly held a meeting at Bayern's headquarters. quoted from Romano, the crucial point for Tuchel to stay is total approval from the supervisory board and a contract extension. Reportedly, the steps that Tuchel took were to make him feel fully confident in surviving and accepting.
Honestly, if this rumor is true, I'm not really sure why Bayern would do it. although we agree, the most relevant reason for retaining Tuchel is the rejection of several coaches who were previously targeted by Bayern Munich. although in reality, Bayern could actually bring in another coach as was previously rumored. However, the option of retaining Tuchel could be the main priority, apart from giving Tuchel the opportunity to prove that he is capable of bringing Bayern back to strength, at least for the Bundesliga. So, it seems that retaining Tuchel is more logical than bringing in another coach, apart from Xabi Alonso and Nagelsmann. For me personally, I am not satisfied with Tuchel's style of handling Bayern Munich. But we'll see how things develop next, whether Tuchel will stay or whether he chooses another club and league.
