It is already clear that Manchester United will not make it to next season's Europa League competition. Even though Chelsea lost to Bournemouth and Manchester United won Brighton, Chelsea will still be leading Manchester United by a goal difference to maintain their 6th place in the Premier League table. I think that Manchester United management wants to give Erik Ten Hag another season to see if it is the players that are the problem for Manchester United's poor performance this season in all competitions.
I don't see anything wrong with the Manchester United players this season because they have all done their best in every game. It's just that they just weren't lucky enough to win more games so they have to be in a position that doesn't take them to the Europa League for next season. But on the one hand, we also shouldn't blame the Manchester United coach completely, even though Erik Ten Hag also needs a huge evaluation of what happened to him this season at Manchester United. Because the position obtained by Manchester United this season is a position that is not good enough for them.
Failure to achieve the target of qualifying for Europe is clearly a major blow for a team like Manchester United. Of course, manager Erik Ten Hag is the figure most responsible for all the results that occur on the field. The Red Devils' performance this season has been very poor and perhaps the worst in recent decades and has clearly been very detrimental to the team as a whole. Evaluation is of course important, but I would suggest that Erik Ten Hag be immediately relieved of his coaching duties.
I've been wondering for the second year why Ten Hag remains Manchester United coach and I still haven't found an answer to the question. I doubt the management will decide to change him this season, I think they have either decided to go all the way, that Ten Hag would do something, or they don't care about their team and so they are willing to leave things as they are
