When someone is addicted to gambling, of course they will find it difficult to stop gambling, because with them being addicted to gambling, their thoughts will only think about winning, and that will certainly encourage them to continue gambling even though they always lose. With them gambling and ending up losing and then returning to betting of course it is not a good solution, but if they can stop when they lose and return to gambling the next day it might not be a big problem, because what should not be done is when they lose in gambling and return to betting on the same day after experiencing that defeat.
Of course they must have their own reasons when other people ask them why they continue to gamble, but I don't think they will admit that they are addicted to gambling, it's very unlikely because I think they will be embarrassed if they admit that they are addicted to gambling.
When asked once more, who else would admit that he's addicted? Addicted players only deserve time to do fun activities other than gambling. Gaming struggles with the time of the player. It's fun indeed, but affects the way some players predict games. I see, often on social media, some funny videos of, wouldn't call them addicts, players who spend lots of time in the casino hitting the bet button on slot machines.
Addicts who get mostly glued to gambling can be cure through their cooperation to try something new. When pressed, addicts wouldn't comply or share positive truths about their problems. The essence of creating a close relationship with the player is to act like a watchdog. Helping the player with some necessary needs and expecting the true loyalty in return. If they don't tell us the truth or accept to be addicts the whole trouble will be highly tough to handle.
