You make almost no sense.

Changing pushups into a 1 arm exercise would be nearly a whole totally new thing.  So to the extent that what you are saying is even true, it seems to not really be about pushups.


I'm not changing pushups at all. I am only doing 1 arm pushup for few days and submitting my report. Such conditions help me learn new things and satisfy my need to do regular pushups. I don't do it hard at all, I just break my knees like the picture above. I try to do it as much as my body can handle. Once my hands are fully healed I will be doing pushups with both hands and hopefully will be able to do 100 pushups in 5 sets a day like before.

Doing push ups with one hand will definitely feel difficult, friend. Because I personally have done that. Apart from that, doing push ups with one hand also has its own advantages and disadvantages, friend. Here I will explain based on my experience.

If you look at the benefits of doing push ups with one hand, it will increase our arm strength. Because if we do push ups with one hand, as far as I know, the muscles that are more affected are not the chest muscles, but the forearm muscles or arm muscles. So if you just want to make your arms stronger, it is true that doing push ups with one hand can be quite an appropriate exercise.

Then if you look at the shortcomings, doing push ups with one hand does not have a wide range in building muscles throughout the body. The reason is, the affected muscles do not widen like push ups in general (two arms). Because push ups in general can provide benefits for building chest muscles, abdominal muscles, wing muscles, triceps muscles and also back muscles. Meanwhile, doing push ups with one hand only has the benefit of building the triceps and forearm muscles.
So, those are the advantages and disadvantages of doing push ups with only one hand.

Apart from that, I also have my own alternative way to be successful and get used to doing push ups with one hand. Maybe the method shown in the picture you show is indeed a good way to be able to do push ups with one hand. However, according to my personal experience, the method shown in the picture is less effective. The point is that the steps shown in the image you show are too fast (other stages are skipped). Because personally, when I had the desire to do push ups with one hand, at that time I had been doing push ups for approximately 8 months very consistently. So basically I feel like regular push ups (two hands) are no longer challenging for me. Therefore I intend to do push ups with one hand. And the methods or stages that I used at that time,

  • The first step, I was used to doing two-arm push ups more than 100-150 times a day at that time.
  • The second step at that time I increased my training by doing push ups with my hands clenched into fists.
  • The third step, when I can do fist push ups more than 50 times, then I start the steps as in the picture you show.
  • And after one week of doing push ups with one arm while my legs were bent, I was finally able to do one arm push ups in a normal position.

But after a month of adding one-arm push ups to my daily push up agenda, I decided to stop because it was too difficult to do every day. Maybe if I were a chalistenic athlete, I would definitely continue to do one-arm push ups. However, from the start I did push ups, the aim was only to make my body healthier and my body shape look much more ideal. Plus, I are currently taking part in a push up challenge towards $100K bitcoin.

So my advice, if you are still a beginner or new to doing push ups, it's a good idea not to immediately try push ups with one hand. But it's better to just do normal push ups first, the important thing is that the movements are correct and consistent.
