It is almost impossible to catch Atalanta's points. Even if they lose to Torino and Fiorentina in the remaining matches, it is impossible for AS Roma to overtake Atalanta because even though they are both on 66 points, Atalanta is superior on goal difference.

And talking about the opportunity to qualify for the Champions League, I think if Atalanta can win the European league, they will definitely qualify for the Champions League group stage next season. If Atalanta were in a situation where they finished outside the top 5 but managed to win the European league, would Italy have 6 representatives in the Champions League? I'm a little confused by this rule.

Yeah Serie A has the opportunity to send 6 teams to the Champions League and Atlanta as the decider, if Atlanta win the Europa League and finish in 6th place in Serie A then Serie A will have 6 teams in the Champions league top 5 in the standings + 1 ticket from the winner of the Europa League. The problem is that Atalanta doesn't want to take risks because there is no guarantee they can beat Leverkusen in the final so Atalanta will try to maintain 5th position until the end of the season.

I found this information in local media which was published 3 days ago so AS Roma and Lazio can only fight to get tickets to the European League, but I think AS Roma has a bigger chance of securing the ticket because they have 2 games left.

If we look at the situation, Roma is more realistic about heading into the Europa League, because hoping that Atalanta loses two matches to close the gap is quite impossible, even if this scenario happens, Roma will have to score lots of goals in the last two matches. I think this scenario is a bit impossible to happen, so Roma must be willing to finish in the European zone. Roma chances of playing in the Champions League by relying on Atalanta are also relatively low, because I don't think Atalanta has the strength to beat Leverkusen. The Coppa Italia final against Juventus can at least be used as a reference to assess Atalanta chances. They failed to beat Juventus, who we know are inconsistent, so beating Leverkusen, who have never been beaten, is certainly very difficult.

Therefore, the possibility of Serie A sending 6 representatives to the Champions League next season is unlikely to materialize, unless Atalanta gets great luck and is able to win the Europa League trophy by beating Leverkusen and finished in 6th place Serie A. Apart from all that, the competition for tickets to the Champions League turns out to be more exciting than the competition for the Scudetto, because Inter is running alone at the top of the standings. It looks like next season won't be much different, I assume Inter will remain the dominant team as a Scudetto contender.
