They managed to beat Genoa by 1-0 even with 10 players but it was still not enough to keep their hopes for the last week of the season. Because Atalanta also won against Lecce. The point gap is three points maybe but head-to-head games are taken into account first. Atalanta are ahead on that too after beating Roma by 2-1 recently.
Even though there are 5 teams qualifying for the Champions League, Roma have failed on this task once again. But I hope to see them coming back stronger. Let's see whether the board will keep De Rossi for next season too.

They shouldn't waste the points they have so they can appear in the Champions League, but as we know, in the last 5 matches they have only won 2 times. Now all the teams in Serie A still have one to two matches left and for Roma one match remaining will not be enough for them to overtake Atalanta. I think they have to be willing to fight again in the European league and that is at least still better than not playing in other competitions next season.
