Arsenal dominated this year. Taking Man City to the wire is a big message. Arteta's team played fantastic football, and the numbers show it. City was a machine. Pep had those lads locked in; they made few mistakes, especially late. It's frustrating for non-City fans. I've been trying to think out what Arsenal could've done better. I'm not sure what happens unless City collapses. Arteta was right; a near-perfect season wasn't enough. The bar is established by City, man.
Everyone else must keep working, improving, and praying for a City mistake. Until then, admire them; they're the best. Arsenal isn't done.
Manchester City has everything and it must be acknowledged from all sides that Manchester City is better than Arsenal this season so what happened is not that surprising.
Arsenal appeared more dominant this season because they managed to improve their performance compared to last season, but that was not enough to break Manchester City's dominance.
This has been a fantastic season for Manchester City and Arsenal, the season has finished and Manchester City have managed to set a new record in the Premier League with their success in winning the title 4 times in a row.
And the most interesting thing to wait for is Arsenal's progress next season, if they succeed in continuing to make improvements I think they can surpass Manchester City without having to wait for Pep Guardiola's team to make mistakes.
