Pochettino got Chelsea from drowning to the relegation zone to finish in a comfortable position on the table even though they had a poor form and they almost finish above Tottenham if not for some draws they had in the closing part of the season I think that was when they became ruthless and stronger in holding the ball.
With all these done by Pochettino in the Chelsea squad I think they should give him another opportunity to lead the squad next season after all he has gotten that connection with both the players and the fans, even if some of the fans don't buy the idea of him staying. To me if they bring another coach immediately after Pochettino leaves the side I feel the Blues will struggle again and this time it would be worse, but let's wait till Thursday if the Chelsea board would give him another go with the club.
There is no doubt about giving Pochetino a second chance at Chelsea,even if they didn't finish in the top four,atleast they tried playing well against big teams,they drew Manchester city,drew Arsenal first leg,did very well when they met some big teams,and that is the first sign that a manager will do well at a particular club to me,because when Arteta first came to Arsenal,that was what he did first,he made sure he defeated those teams that used to win Arsenal,and everybody knew he was up to something.So if he is given another chance,there is every possibility that he is going to be the best coach for Chelsea.
Chelsea did well no doubt but you can't compare this two managers, talking about Arteta and Pochettino, these guys are good but I can't say Pochettino is better or has done something close to what Arteta has done because Pochettino has been coaching while Arteta was playing, if I'm not mistaken and up till now I haven't seen Pochettino lifting a trophy as a coach but Arteta have. And again the two clubs are different in terms of how they run their business, Chelsea are always desperate to win something but the Arsenal side are on the hoping side for something to come but if it doesn't come they're cool.
Let's say the truth, Pochettino at some point was confused about the whole Chelsea pattern of running the team and I don't think he has made any signing on his own, he also said they should let him do the signing himself and if he eventually get the job because at this moment he's at the exit door, if he gets the job that's when we'll know if he's going to do better than what he did in this concluded season.
