I think this will just put him into the spotlight and make it harder for him to avoid criticism though. I bet if Bayern draws or some players make dumb mistakes he'll take the blame too. If they're looking for a temporary manager, I believe he should not be the priority either given that he's still young and would need time to adapt and develop his tactical and man-management skills. I can imagine it will be harder if you need to manage players with big egos if you don't have any credentials in your pocket.
Managing a large team will be much more difficult, especially for coaches who are new and do not have extensive experience. Still remember how Mourinho was fired when he failed to bring several big teams to glory.
Even though previously he was a coach who was talked about quite a lot because of his contribution to the team. I also have the same view as you, that when his team loses or draws then he will be the scapegoat to blame.
So there are many things you might need to consider because it's not easy to handle a big team with a lot of history.
