The earlier the better for me because the longer you wait the higher the chances of something bad happening. The action I will take will be to take my jackpot and change my location temporarily so I can think about what to do with the money outside the pressure of friends and family, and also for safety reasons. There is no good reason to be waiting to claim your winning, even when you do not need the money in a rush, just claim your winning and keep it elsewhere if you have no immediate use for it.
