Both players had a wonderful season. Mitrovic was lucky to be in the best team and if he didn’t score as many goals I would have said he is not a good striker but he pushed Ronaldo to the extreme at first and it was almost as if he would overtake Ronaldo but Ronaldo was experienced enough to keep going. Ronaldo is still performing at his best. Who would say that this player will score 33 goals at this age? He is a player who still does not compromise on his quality at this age. Moreover, his team could not become the champion in the league, but Ronaldo received the golden shoe again. Great times for Ronaldo. He is one of the four best players in the history of football and never before has a player scored so many goals at this age.
He just keep proving people wrong, after he was criticized at Manchester United he have now gone to win the highest goal scorer award in Saudi. He might not have the strength to dribble like his old days but he is quite capable of scoring goals and he doesn’t seem to be slowing down at the moment despite being this old.
Can anyone ever do what Ronaldo is doing at this age? I doubt it, being able to play actively and still out score young players is not something anyone can do at this age.
