You make some fair points about netiquette that people should try to follow on forums. But we also wanna let folks speak freely here as much as we can. This place aims to give members room to share views openly and debate stuff. Sure we got some basics in place - cant have anyone harassing others.
We need to strike the right balance between keeping things respectful but not feeling too strict neither. People should feel welcome to say their piece, even forcefully, so long as they dont get personal or nasty. Some arguments gonna happen but we trust members to police themselves mostly. If things go over the line, mods can step in.
I agree that everyone can express their opinions freely, as long as it does not contain insults or malicious behavior. It is important that we respect diversity of views and provide space for members to engage in healthy debate. However, there need to be certain boundaries to ensure discussions remain respectful. For example, personal insults or threats directed at others should not be allowed. Additionally, it is important to ensure that moderation is carried out fairly and transparently. Moderators must follow established guidelines and not take sides with certain parties. Transparency is also important so that forum members can see how moderation decisions are made and understand the reasons behind them.
