This should be the case because this season Napoli are far away from the competition and this is due to the management's failure to find the coach they need. Next season will be more difficult and maybe Napoli's target is not as far away as you are talking about, but if the coach's support is still the same then we doubt they will be able to make big changes for next season. When compared with Atalanta, it is true that Napoli is much better, but Atalanta has one prestigious title this season.

The expectations of coaching a big team and an ordinary team will be much different and the coach will be tested in many ways. About how he is able to handle and that will have to be seen when he is officially introduced and next season will be a good start for him to prove himself. Even though it's not easy, there's no harm in giving him a chance because at least he will try to bring good luck to the team.
A great coach who is full of experience can certainly raise the enthusiasm of a team to perform better. Napoli need to get a coach like that regardless of who they want to sign, but I definitely agree that Conte is the one who deserves the job.

Gian Piero Gasperini has been Atalanta coach since 2016 and recently won the Europa League title. That is the only title Gian Piero Gasperini has won in Serie A since he coached Atalanta, so I don't think Gasperini is the most desirable coach to take charge of Napoli next season. Conte is much more convincing for the job, but I don't understand the terms or some kind of agreement in question.
