There are so many different types of coins nowadays, but I don't even know how I should choose anymore. Do you guys have any good advice?
If you want to invest in crypto I would say invest in bitcoin. Because there is no better and safer investment than Bitcoin. You can invest in Bitcoin with your eyes closed. You don't need anyone's advice for that, you don't even need to do research. But I always welcome our own research.
If anyone would recommend BTC, the topic here is apart from BTC, even though it seems like a general question, this is in the Altcoin Discussion thread.
Maybe the OP needs advice and opinions from his seniors, so I think it would be good for us to consider several options other than BTC so that the OP understands better when he makes an investment decision. For BTC, it is always the best among all that exists.
