Xabi Alonso plan was winning the treble but he fall out along the line. It was one of the tremendous season fro Leverkusen, having to lose just a game in the whole of 2023/2024 season and it was against the Atalanta in the Europa League. Atalanta was not in a rush, they calmly played Bayer Leverkusen and absorbed all pressure that was flowing in. Bayern Leverkusen will play the UEFA Champions League next season, I'm definitely sure they will manage to reach the very top.
If Bayern Leverkusen can replicate what they did this season in all competitions in the following season when they’ll be competing in the top European competitions, they can do well and go far like they did this season in the following season. They have won the heart of many this season and a treble was what most people hope for them to win because of their excellent performance this season. They were so optimistic to win all the leagues but were unlucky after losing to Atalanta in the Europa League finals. It was a wonderful season for them regardless, and the bigger task ahead for them is that of the next season which they need to take more serious and concentrated about because many teams already know what they can do and they won’t take it cool on them when they clash from next season.
