Indeed Bayern Leverkusen tried even though they didn't finish the season in an unbeaten run in all competitions but they did finish the Bundesliga in an unbeaten run so they are the first team to set such a record which can be difficult for any other team to achieve within a short time. The record alone has set them outstanding in the Bundesliga and for them to win the trophy and the DFB Pokal is a huge achievement for them so they shouldn't feel bad that they didn't add the Europa league trophy but if they continue in this performance they can still win European titles in the future.
