I don’t think the memecoin craze will go away anytime soon. I mean just look at the top coins right now. A lot of them are memecoins. It’s starting to seem like the line between memecoins and other altcoins are blurring. As long as people are profiting off of memecoins, theynare going to continue to create more and more.
Especially now with the bull run, there would definitely be an increase of memecoins in the market.

This is bad because it will shift developer's focus in quantity over quality. In other words, developers won't bother making innovative and useful projects that will make our world a better place. They will just create speculative tokens with the means of enriching themselves and early adopters. It's this reason why there are so many undervalued coins on the market with limitless potential.
Litecoin, Dash, Elastic, Golem, Zcash, GRIN, and many others are left behind in the dust as investors seek projects that will make them rich quick. We've completely moved away from crypto/Blockchain tech's original vision. I wonder which other coins will lose their luster next?
