Apart from not needing to throw away the old players that Atalanta already has this season, the Atalanta team itself also needs to look at other players who are much better if they have enough funds to buy new players so they can be included in the existing squad. Next season will be a more difficult season for Atalanta. They will play in the Champions League which is more competitive than Serie A or UEL. Atalanta needs to add several players to the depth of their squad. The current team is very good and they are the champion team because they managed to win the UEFA European League trophy. But that won't be enough for them to compete in the UCL. This reminds me of Leicester City in the 2017/2018 season when they played in the UCL. They must not sell their important players and they must look for some new players.
