Why would you pay in it, instead of bitcoin?
Have you tried paying a small amount in Bitcoin lately? BCH fees are 1000 times lower, so it can be used to pay a few cents. I don't like it, but it works. I prefer Monero though: fees are still 100 times lower than Bitcoin, but at least you're not supporting a total shitcoin.10 sat vB looks fine for me... it is likes that for a month already.
I would agree if we had 500vB for a month, but that is not the case.
I think the reason is lack of knowledge, maybe he thinks bch is a "more tech btc"..?
There are plenty of options of better coins to use.
