I don't think xabi Alonso will be leaving Bayern04 Leverkusen anytime soon. The career part for greater success is just been layed, his team will be competing for next season's champions League this time around and he will be showcasing his prowess in the champions League, if not for Atalanta that got in their way, Leverkusen would have successfully won the Europa League. so the grass is greener here in Leverkusen for Alonso.
Manchester city should look for somebody else, if not for the unbeatable record xabi just kept for Leverkusen on their domestic league, would they have ordinarily called him? Of course the answer is no. Manchester city should look for replacement for pep guardiola somwhere else.

But that's exactly why people succeed and become noticable, let's take for example Xabi Alonso is a good coach and another team like Manchester city are about to lose on probably one of the best coaches the football world has to offer so it's practically just fine for Xabi Alonso to be noticed and even called up because of what he had achieved and believe it takes more than just luck to achieve what Alonso achieve so him getting recommendations from Manchester city is just a normal thing.
