I am actually happy that they were able to win the last match against FCK. even though they were actually getting a lot of backlash for not being able to win the Europa League title, I think this is another achievement that they will be very happy about. people understand that this was not easy for them at all. Even though Leverkusen was able to score in the 17th minute of the match, they had a player sent off in the 44th minute of the match. so basically they had to play more than half of the match with only 10 players on the field versus the 11 of their opponent.
I am actually a little surprised that they were able to keep a clean sheet in this match. I actually thought that FCK would be able to score and the match might be decided by penalties. And I will also say that Leverkusen was somewhat lucky in this match. If this was any other big opposition, they would have been in big problem.
