Leverkusen was awesome during this season, they got enough points and they were playing stronger teams while they never lost a game and they had good performances in all the game they had but in the game, they had against Atalanta they finally lost a game and it was definitely the most important game they had during the season which could help them to win the Europa League title but they couldn't do that ad this made them to lose this amazing change they had.
It was hard seeing Leverkusen getting to loose the most important game if the season for them, it was the game that would have helped them finish up the historic record they were set to make across the whole of Europe but then it wasn't a dream come true but they still made a record with their unbeaten street since the season, they aswell had the longest unbeaten streak in Europe as a whole.
It's never been recorded a team has such long unbeaten streak in a single season, they had one loss throughout the season and that was the loss in the finals against Atalanta, so it will be very fair to say they had a very successful season even if they couldn't make it to winning a trio as it was earlier intended but they had two trophies and an outstanding record aswell of which it's something they don't usually get in previous seasons, they only get to finish around top Seven or eight teams, Xabi did a very good job this season with his team.
We are hoping they will be able to maintain that same energy and firm for next season so that they will have to keep the German bundesliga more competitive then it has ever been as they have helped dawn a new era where any team can dare to win the league title and not just the giant Bayern Munich whom we are all used to their form and the fact that they have a form of dominance that wasn't challenged all these years in the bundesliga.
