Reaching UEFA Champions league finals is already a huge achievement for Borussia Dortmund. This is the 3rd time they have reached the Championship finals and 2nd time in last 25 years. They are a great team but the luck also favored them as they had to meet the poorer team in comparison. They met PSV on round of 16 who were one of the weakest of the 16. They met Atletico Madrid on quaterfinals, Atletico Madrid and Dortmund were considered the weakest of the 8, They met PSG on semis, who is certainly considered weaker in comparison to Munich and Madrid. Many people even claimed Munich vs Madrid semi is the real finals. But the final consist of just one match which is much harder to predict than a two legged game.
Dortmund are certainly grateful to be able to reach this final, especially since this season has been hell for them. Going from the hell group to eliminating various other strong opponents was certainly not easy for them, besides that they had to meet PSG again in the semifinals. Even though they are far from being a top team, Dortmund has proven that their performance is very worthy of the final round with the hard work they always show.
It seems like Dortmund are also very happy to meet Real Madrid in the final and even if they lose, they will still be happy to face Real Madrid again. It will be an unforgettable memory and let the final result decide. If we draw a straight line, Real Madrid's semi-final match against Bayern Munich is the real final and I don't think it's wrong if there are people who think like that. However, every fan has their own opinion and I'm sure everyone will be happy with the real final match.
