Mauricio Pochettino did not deserve to be sacked for many reasons. Firstly, Chelsea showed a positive trend in their results. The club was in 10th place after the first half of the season, but finished the season in 6th place. Secondly, under the Argentine coach, the players started to improve. Cole Palmer became the best young footballer of the championship of England. Nicholas Jackson started to add value. I think Pochettino did a good job at Chelsea and the club management should have extended his contract for one more season.
Maybe I am one of the people who regrets this decision to dismiss and Chelsea should still have trusted Pochettino for a long time. The reason is that most of his roles are just continuing the legacy of the previous coach and the results are even much better than everyone thought.
It's not appropriate after all he's done for Chelsea that management decided so quickly what should happen. But this is the reality and since Abrahamovic left everything has become very chaotic and Todd Boehly is still the cause of all uncertainty for Chelsea. Well, I don't know for sure what Chelsea will be like next season but what is clear is that they won't be able to do the same thing again with their new coach.
