Leverkusen may have performed well in the local league with their current squad but ahead they will play in the Champions League tournament where they could face strong teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City and Barcelona. The team they have may not be able to compete with teams like Real Madrid and Manchester City in tournaments like the Champions League with this team, so they must recruit good players this season even if they are to do well in the Champions League.
