For me Erik ten Hag is able to make Manchester United have a goodperformance but unfortunately, Erik ten Hag is still unable to make Manchester United consistent. But, if Manchester United give Erik ten Hag a chance for at least one more season, I am sure that Manchester United will still compete in the topfour nextseason. The reason I believe Manchester United will be able to compete in the top four is because after all, teams like Liverpool and Chelsea are likely to experience obstacles next season because of the new coach. Therefore, I believe next season will be a good opportunity for Erik ten Hag to make Manchester United even better to be able to compete strongly in the top four next season.
With you saying that it is also not certain that Erik Ten Hag will remain consistent, so the club management takes quick steps before falling further, therefore what Man United is doing must be right to find the ideal coach, meaning that they have strong chemistry with the players and especially don't fight a lot.
Chelsea and Liverpool may next season will experience a slight change but we don't know how optimal they are with the new coach whether they will remain consistent or there is a change in friction where competing in the top 4 is much more difficult.
