Eric Ten Hag is not really the best guy for Manchester united, he's only managing that position to my own opinion because if he was the best for them, winning FA Cup would not have been the only thing to celebrate for them. I agree that was a great height but that's not just it. It could have been bigger for them. Maybe they would have moved closer in the table standing if they were more consistent in their goal streaks.
Successfully winning the FA Cup cannot be proof of Ten Hag success as Manchester United coach, his performance in the EPL has been very poor this season, they very easily lose points which makes it difficult to break into the top four. The club has tried to give Ten Hag what he wants, including bringing in quality players, in fact Manchester United performance has not improved.
Manchester United has not been able to provide competition for the EPL title due to its inconsistent performance, major changes must be made in the transfer market to improve the quality of the team. Competition in the EPL is not the same as other leagues, if Manchester United wants to compete with Manchester City in the race for the title, they have to look for a quality coach who can improve the quality of the team like Arteta did with Arsenal, even though he failed to compete with Manchester City, at least Arsenal failure was not too disappointing.
