Has anyone gambling addict shared his situation with you and how did you handled it? please come clean about it let's learn from each other.

It is rare for someone who is addicted to gambling to seek help from anyone. Some are not even able to recognize that they are addicted or that they have a problem.

But when they decide to seek help, I think the first person they turn to is a close friend, and if this friend does not know how to deal with the situation and give good advice, unfortunately it can discourage the person with the problem even more and worsen their addictions.

But I also confess that to this day I have not heard sincere reports from anyone who is having a gambling problem and wants to give up the addiction. The most I have read and heard are people complaining about their losses and looking for "magic alternatives" and advice to get their money back and start winning again, but never wanting to give up gambling.
That is because they don't know if they already addicted to gambling. Even if those addicted gambling lose much money before, that will not makes them realizes about what happens to them.
They will still playing gambling without thinks about themselves and even if some people know that they are often playing gambling and warn them, they will not listen and will continue to playing gambling. That situation can becomes worst if they don't makes reflection or calculate how much they already lose and that can triggers them to becomes addicted to gambling.
When we know that our friends wants to share about their problem in gambling, we can listen to them and gives advices to them so they can realizes that they already addicted to them. We can helps them to find the right solution for them so they can start to reduce their gambling addiction.
