I don't think it's a shameful result at all, because I think 1 defeat doesn't erase what they have shown this season. They have proven that they are a team that can also win the Bundesliga title and even that without losing, although in the end they could not maintain their unbeaten record because they had to lose to Atalanta, but that should not embarrass them.
I feel that what they have achieved this season is more than enough, they performed extraordinary and they won the league title and domestic competition and that is not just one number. Xabi really succeeded in bringing Leverkusen to achieve something that they had been very difficult to achieve. Next season will be a tough challenge for them, because they have to maintain what they achieved this season. And usually maintaining will be more difficult than starting something.
