Real Madrid is currently still considering making Joselu permanent even though Joselu says he doesn't know where he will be next season.
The arrival of Kylan Mbappe who is almost 100% will make Real Madrid's front line inhabited by fast players who operate as wing attackers but almost no players in the main position as center forwards. So, in my opinion, the option of making Joselu permanent is very important to do, at least it can be an equalizer when there is a deadlock.
It is true that after Benzema's departure, there is no other center forward but Vinicius, Rodrygo, Bellingham can still help in scoring goals. If Real Madrid brings in Mbappe again, then the competition will be even more positive. But letting this condition continue will not be good.
Mbappe's arrival at Real Madrid will allegedly require sacrifice from other players, and if Carlo Ancelotti still uses the 4-3-1-2 tactic as his favorite then Rodrygo will most likely be replaced by Mbappe. Carlo Ancelotti may have the option to play Mbappe, Vini, Rodrygo and Bellingham at the same time, but for that, Ancelotti has to throw away one midfielder. If Joselu gets his contract then he will continue to fill his role like last season. Likewise with Endrick, I guess he will have a similar fate to Joselu because he is still very young and maybe he will need time to adapt.
