Earth's temperature is slowly increasing.  The gradual increase in the temperature of the earth is called global warming.  An example of a natural disaster caused by global warming is flash flooding.  As the temperature of the earth increases, the polar ice melts, resulting in flash floods.  Also, various other natural disasters occur.  Planting trees can prevent global warming.  Lately I have been seeing a lot of posts on social media about planting trees.  But the matter has become such that the number of posts about planting trees is more than planting trees.  We all understand that only planting trees can save us from such natural calamities.  But we ask ourselves how many trees we have planted till date.  We only say by mouth that plant trees but there are people in the world who have not planted a single tree in their life.  Therefore, it should be shown in reality, not just in words.  And I think that strong action should be taken by the government about planting trees.

Afforestation is a very good thing and I can remember from my primary school days the effect caused by deforestation which has caused a lot of global warming and till date it is still taking place. Those that lives close to the forest are mostly not the people engaging in such acts, people from outside that don’t know the importance of it are the ones that do it always. They don’t want to plant trees even when they cut down old ones that are used for some other purposes.

I have lived closed by a forest before, where a road divides us with the large forest. The place use to be a cool and calm place to live in even during hot summers, but after the clearing of the lands and sold for other purposes, it is always hot and not even the winter season can come to our aid now. It is also paramount to get some around your house in order to help get some cozy cool air when it’s hot at summer. The importance of trees in our surroundings and forest cannot be overemphasized but they do help a lot when around us.
