You are both right about that of course. I must have also criticized Haaland's being inadequate in performance in big games who knows how many times.    But the reason why is actually obvious to me.

Because he doesn't have a character like helping the team at the back and carrying the ball to the danger zone. He is mostly waiting to be fed by wingers or midfielders. When these positions have difficulties in big games we see Haaland mostly struggling and not even touching the ball properly. I think he needs to improve his side there to be a more active striker.


I'm surprised about his still maintaining his job. Especially after Newcastle was bought by rich people I thought they would replace him with a well-known manager. But there is no such action yet.
