Honestly. Eric Ten Hag did not do as best as it will be expected from him as a manager of an elite club like Manchester United where Sir Alex Ferguson who happened to be one of the greatest European managers of all time managed for years to many victories. Any manager that is coming to that kind of club is expected to do more and I guess Eric felt that pressure in the beginning but later was more focused on his inability to control his emotions and sentiments towards his players. Hence having issues with them one of which was with Cristiano Ronaldo which I was unhappy about. Like, having Ronaldo in his team was a homecoming for the player but not allowing him to play the way he should was the biggest mistake they had.
Of course, Erik Ten Hag cannot be confused with Alex Ferguson because Alex Ferguson succeeded in bringing glory to Manchester United by winning many trophies. However, Erik Ten Hag has only coached Manchester United for two seasons, but the impression he has made is quite bad in terms of harmony with the players, first with Ronaldo and also with Sancho. Therefore, Erik failure this season also had a bad impact on his career because he coached a big team with many star players but Erik failed to bring Manchester United to finish at the top.
So in the big conclusion of course he has to change his attitude in the coming season, if he has internal problems with the player then it is better not to discuss it in every press conference. The players will work hard for the team progress if they get full support from their coach. Erik also failed in his recruitment because several of the new players he recruited last season have not succeeded in showing their best form this season. Next season, if Erik is still given time to continue coaching Manchester United, I think he must have the courage to take every appropriate action to solve every problem with a cool head.
